What player warps are
Player warps are public teleport points that other players create and share. Anyone can warp to them, which makes them how the server's shops, towns, grinders, and attractions get discovered.
They're different from your private homes:
/sethomepoints are private — only you (and/home) can use them.- Player warps are listed for the whole server to browse and teleport to.
If you run a shop or a farm you want visitors at, a warp is how people find it.
Browsing warps
Open the warp menu with:
/warps open the player-warp GUI
Inside the GUI you can sort the list — newest first, or by rating (the Best sort ranks warps by their star ratings). Warps are grouped into four categories, each with its own shortcut command:
| Category | Shortcut command | What's there |
|---|---|---|
| Shops | /shops, /playershops, or /ps | Player chest shops |
| Towns | /towns | Player-built towns and communities |
| Grinders | /grinders | Mob farms and XP grinders |
| Attractions | /attractions | Parkour, builds, and things to see |
A few warps also have direct shortcuts, such as /arena, /mall, and /market.
While you're browsing, you can rate a warp with the stars in the GUI — good warps rise in the "Best" sort, so rating helps everyone. You can also favourite a warp to keep it handy in your own list.
Creating your own warp
Stand exactly where you want players to arrive, then:
/setwarp <name> create a warp at your current spot
Naming rules:
- Names are limited to 20 characters, with no spaces.
- You'll get a short confirmation prompt (about 10 seconds) before the warp is created.
Warp creation may have a cost or a per-rank limit on how many warps you can own. The exact number depends on your rank — read the confirmation prompt in the GUI or ask staff rather than assuming a figure.
Managing your warp
Once a warp exists, fine-tune it with the manage sub-commands:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/warp desc set <warp> <text> | Set a one-line description |
/warp icon set <warp> [material] | Set the warp's display icon |
/warp category <warp> <category> | Put it under Shops, Towns, Grinders, or Attractions |
/warp rename <warp> <name> | Rename the warp |
/warp reset <warp> | Move it to where you're standing now |
/delwarp <warp> | Remove the warp entirely |
Making a good warp
Warps that get traffic almost always share the same four things: a clear name, a short description that says what's there, a recognisable icon, and the correct category so browsers find it where they expect. A shop dumped in the wrong category gets far fewer visitors than one sorted under Shops.
If your warp is a chest shop, the shop-specific setup (locations, sign format, pricing) is covered in Setting Up a Player Shop.
Bedrock note
The warp list is a standard menu GUI, so the usual Geyser menu caveats apply — clicks register normally, but if the menu doesn't respond, close and reopen it. Everything else works the same as on Java.
